3D Jeong Taek Hyeong (16)

An ample time to think about what I had received from the society and how I should complete the cycle by returning it to them was crucially required to allow myself know and realise the importance of the society and the world that I live in. Indeed, I had received or probably, I am receiving so many unseen "goods" from them.

The service learning 2011, organised by Victoria School Sec3D, was conducted over a period of some time. I am well aware of the fact that this experience is unable to be summed up to whatever I had received from the society. However, I believe my classmates and I had paid the huge debt that we owe by a little which finally provided us a great opportunity to "test" our individual responsibility and teamwork and more importantly, the love that we have for others.

The even was basically about selling a gift pack, which consisted a packet of oreo, mummies snack, 2 jellies and etc., at the price of S$2.50. Many Victorians, teachers, relatives of my classmates and ourselves were very willing to buy the gift pack though the price way exceeded the cost price. This showed and proved me that many of us are very participative in aiding the needies by buying the gift pack, indirectly donating the

money to the charity. Hence, the kind and bright hearts of many people highlighted the overall event.

After this fabulous and full-filling experience, definitely, I will see myself staying involved in the community during my college and adult years as there are so many goods that I receive which cannot be expressed only in words. So, with whatever I will be available with, I would absolutely like to get involved and interact with the community, both directly and indirectly.
