VSCE (Brian Lee) 3D

Our class service-learning was indeed a memorable and enriching experience. It gave me a different perspective of service learning. Last time I used to think that service-learning was a waste of time and it is very boring but now I realised that  something like selling gift packs for a good cause can give me an immense self-satisfaction. It lead me to realised how fortunate I am and how I can contribute back to the society, to care for the less-fortunate and spare a thought for them. The best thing that happen during the service learning was to be selling our gift packs during recess and after school. It was great for our whole class to split into small groups and work together trying our very best to sell these gift packs. Although it was tired but it was fun and worth while. The worst thing for me was that when some of the other students started scaning through the packs calculating if it is worth 2.50. It was dissapointing. They complained that the packs were too expensive despite the fact that all proceeds would go to charity. I would definitely see myself staying involved in the community during my college and adult years. This is beacause this activity taught me to be grateful to our society and if you have the ability to help others please lend others a helping hand and most importantly its not that amount of donation but the thought that count. ;)
